- ~1-hour Service interruption due to a blackout in the northeastern part of city.
Server rebooted normally after blackout - no actions taken.
2016-10-14 to 2016-10-17
- Service interruption.
- One of the admins accidentally booted the server, and it did not come back up. The motherboard had failed somewhere during the last 10000 hours of operation and we didn't know of it before trying to reboot. The faulty motherboard was replaced on tuesday and operation resumed immediately.
2016-08-14 to 2016-08-16
- Poor internet connectivity. We apologize for the invonvenience.
- Upon returning to finland and actually stressing the connection, we found out that the connectivity still was not good with intermittent downtime. This time, the fixing crew gave the same explanation about the connection diagram in addition to actually explaining that we had been connected to an entirely wrong line. For some reason, this had not been caught earlier, making the previous fixing crew seem quite incompetent. This further worsens my poor opinion about Elisa.
- The server itself has had no service interruptions and there is no data loss.
2016-02-05 to 2016-02-09
- Internet outage. We apologize for the invonvenience.
- The cause was that the ISP connected a new customer, and in the process, disconnected us. The explanation given was that "the connection diagram was wrong" (c) työ_ukot. The resolution of the issue was unfortunately also delayed because of the weekend. For those interested, the ISP in question was Elisa.
- The actual operation of the server was not disturbed, so there is no data loss.
